every item with its own story. Akiko Tobu's camera eye draws out those unseen stories in an evocative weaving of crystal clear images.

Akiko Tobu
Photographer. Her first book of photographs The Hotel Upstairs (Studio Parabolica: 2003) and Zeit-Foto Salon solo exhibition of the same name garnered the 20th Higashikawa New Photographer Prize (2004). Her second solo exhibition Memoraphilia is also to be held at the Zeit-Foto Salon in February 2005.
